What is Digital Detox?
It means taking a break from the digital world, It actually means that you should get rid of your digital gadgets.
Let me explain you this by an example :
I practice digital detox once in a week that is mostly Sunday, the day before it I make a To-Do list of what all the things I need to do on Sunday in order to keep myself away from the digital gadget and When I wake up in the morning I spend time with myself or go out to play and do things all the things patiently and enjoy it.
If someone wants to talk with me they will have to call me because on Sunday I usually don’t Chat with anyone and also stay away from social media.
How one can practice Digital Detox👇
Here are the few steps one should follow:
Set time boundaries: Schedule technology-free hours every day, stay away from your phone during meals or add technology-free activities to your schedule like classes.
Use your phone with purpose: When you want to use your phone, consider the reason why. If it involves negative coping behaviors like avoidance of an activity, think about how you can better handle that feeling.
Set physical boundaries: If you have trouble putting down your phone, try storing it in another room to discourage yourself from using it.
Enjoy more paper media: Try out non-digital media like books, newspapers and comics. You can also pick up a pencil and paper to write or draw.
Take advantage of your phone’s apps and features: Your phone’s features can help you control your overall technology use. For example, you can turn off notifications for certain apps or turn off your phone entirely for a while.

Make a To-Do List in the night or in the morning and include all the things you wanna do and keep your phone away at that particular time. The best way is to work in Short period of time like work for 2 Hours and then take a break of 45 mints- 1 hour at the time of your break you can use your phone but be strict to yourself.
Don’t suppress your feeling of using phone because you could do it for a while and then it will burst out and you will again start using it, instead use the time of using your phone as I told in above step.
Take time for your body like join a gym or go out to play with your friends it can be anything you like just GO OUT !!
Start interacting with your cousins and friends more often and you have to let go the attitude that “They will call me first, I don’t need anyone I can manage by myself” My friend you can mange but if you stay alone you will engage in some or the other activity that will lead to bad things.
The best way is that you can read a book, Buy a book of your choice and set a deadline that you have to read 20-30 pages everyday.
Practice Meditation one of the best thing, You can start with sitting in a quiet place on the ground and set a time on your phone with 5 minutes and just close your eyes and focus on your breathing, You will get distracted but get back to your breath.
